Designer at your service removes the uncertainty around choosing furniture and accessories. Karen will take you on a whirlwind tour of the best interior suppliers in Grey Lynn’s design district. Chauffeuring you to trade-only locations reserved for industry professionals. You will step into the world of gorgeous showrooms only a select few can visit. She will ensure you choose good quality, timeless pieces that are perfect for your lifestyle and budget.

Empowering you to make informed and stylish choices that work harmoniously alongside what you already have. You will learn that shopping with a professional designer is invaluable when it comes to making discerning decisions. You will feel confident throughout the process and there will never be any pressure to buy anything until you’re ready.

The process explained

Day 1 – Home assessment & making a wishlist

Prior to your design store tour Karen visits you at your home. You share your vision and design ideas, and what you want to achieve.

With an expert eye, your space is assessed, easy changes are identified and made for any quick wins before your design store tour day. This includes taking stock of your existing pieces, identifying the things you love and the things you are willing to refurbish or move along. It may include moving your existing furniture around in the room. Karen also measures-up the rooms for spatial planning purposes. This in-home assessment is vital, it allows for a clear understanding of your personal style preferences, and sets a compass bearing for your new-look destination. You then compile a wishlist of what you want to shop for, this may include furniture, rugs, drapery fabrics and decor accessories including artworks.

Day 2 – Tour day

On the day prior to your tour you will receive an itinerary with all the proposed destination locations and times. Appointment bookings will have been premade with showroom staff to ensure you receive individual service from both the showroom expert and Karen. From there you will be chauffeured to all the other design destinations.

Complimentary refreshments will be provided along the way.

Day 3 – Moodboard & quotations

The day after your showroom visits you are supplied with vision board selections of the items you have shortlisted, together with an itemised quote. You can then take your time to make considered buying choices or request custom finishes if you wish. There is no minimum spend and no requirement to proceed with purchasing.

You are completely in control of the process.

Day 4 & 5 – Purchasing & styling

Once your selections are confirmed, orders are placed through Karen’s designer account which ensures you receive special designer pricing. An itemised list including product image, specifications, lead and delivery times is generated and supplied to you.
